Russia´s Putin saves TV crew from tiger

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has saved a television crew from attack by an Amur tiger in the far east of the country.

Vladimir Putin was shown striding through the jungle in camouflage and desert boots before his encounter with the feline foe. He saved the television crew that was with him by sedating the giant cat with a tranquillizer gun.

Violetta Sergeyeva, Film Director of Rossiya TV said, “We probably came too close to her. She suddenly got loose and rushed at us. A miracle saved us.”

That miracle was the Russian Prime Minister. After eight years as the Kremlin chief, the 55-year-old Putin has again cemented his macho image. He helped measure the tiger’s incisors before placing a satellite transmitter around the neck of the predator.

Amur tigers weigh up to 450 kilograms and measure around three meters from head to tail.
