Launched May 14, 2007, the Dr. Siegal’s COOKIE DIET(R) retail arm now has more than 50,000 registered web site users, eight shopping mall locations, and nearly $12 million in revenue.

Dr. Siegal’s COOKIE DIET(R) was created in 1975 by renowned physician, author, and weight loss expert Sanford Siegal, D.O., M.D., in order to control his patients’ hunger and enable them to faithfully adhere to the 800 calorie-a-day diet that he prescribes in his South Florida medical practice, Siegal Medical Group (www.DrSiegal.com). Since 1975, more than 500,000 of Dr. Siegal’s own patients, and those of 200 other physicians he has supplied, have lost weight with the help of his hunger-suppressing foods.

The hunger-controlling quality of Dr. Siegal’s cookies, shake mixes, and soup comes from his secret blend of amino acids and the process he uses to make it. This week, CookieDiet.com added to its online store VITAZEST(R) Water Brand Green Tea, the first third-party product to be certified as 100% compatible with Dr. Siegal’s COOKIE DIET(R).
