Peaches Geldof needs treatment after suspected overdose!

The part time DJ and model is said to have had to be revived by a friend who gave her the kiss of life as they waited for the emergency services.

By the time the ambulance crew arrived at the home in Islington, north London, on Sunday afternoon, she had recovered and did not need hospital treatment.

The incident brings back memories of her mother Paula Yates who died of an overdose in 2000.

According to newspaper reports the 19-year-old daughter of Sir Bob Geldof was unable to breath for several minutes until a friend gave her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

It was said that she refused treatment for fear her father would find out and ushered the paramedics out of the house.

A spokesman for London ambulance service said: ‘We were called on Sunday at 4.45pm to an address in N1 to reports of a female patient taken ill.

“We sent an ambulance bicycle responder, an ambulance and a fast response car, but following assessment the patient did not require hospital treatment.”

Miss Geldof has become a fixture of the London celebrity party circuit and gossip columns - along with her younger sister Pixie, 17.

Last night, she had recovered enough to attend the London premiere of The Dark Knight, the latest Batman movie.

She denied reports that her father had put her under a curfew following earlier allegations she had taken drugs.

The 56-year-old Boomtown Rats singer and Live Aid organiser was said to have lost patience with his daughter’s hectic social life and ordered her to move into his home in Battersea, South London.

But as Miss Geldof arrived in Leicester Square for the premiere she denied that was the case.

“I don’t have a curfew and I never have,” she said. “I’m almost a 20-year-old woman and I can look after myself.

“My father doesn’t shut me in my room and lock the door. ‘He’s not even that strict. He never has been.

We have a happy medium between us. He doesn’t have to check up on me all the time.”
