Rachael Rays Tasty Travels to film at Sun Valley/Ketchum restaurants
The popular cable Food Network show Rachael Ray’s Tasty Travels will be in Ketchum and Sun Valley filming an episode February 2nd-5th. The travel show follows celebrity chef Rachael Ray as she journeys to locations around the world, showcasing local cuisine and businesses. While in town, the show will feature several local restaurants, including The Roundhouse on Bald Mountain, Rustic Moose, Ketchum Grill, Globus, Roosevelt Grille, Trail Creek Cabin, Apple’s Bar & Grill, and Irving’s Red Hots. Show producers made their decision on which restaurants to feature based on a scouting trip to the area and recommendations from local residents. Restaurants will be open during filming, and patrons may be asked to be on camera.
“We’re really looking forward to featuring the restaurants and winter activities that Sun Valley has to offer, especially when it comes to the food and drink,” remarked Lauren Metzger, Coordinating Producer.
“This is exciting recognition for our local culinary scene,” stated Bronwyn Patterson, Public Relations Manager with the Sun Valley/Ketchum CVB, who assisted producers of the show in their research of the area. “I would encourage everyone to visit these businesses to congratulate them on this well-deserved honor.”
Due to scheduling, Ray herself will not be in Sun Valley during the taping of the show. An airdate of the Sun Valley episode has yet to be released.
