Louisiana Republicans to elect delegates and alternates at caucuses today

louisiana caucusDelegates and alternates to Louisiana’s state Republican Convention will be elected at caucuses today at 11 caucus locations throughout Louisiana.

Fifteen delegates and 15 alternates from each congressional district in Louisiana will be elected.

The 4th Congressional District caucuses will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City.

The Louisiana caucuses are part of the process to the Republican nomination for president. The party’s nominating convention will be held Sept. 1-4 in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

The Louisiana delegates to the Republican National Convention will be elected at the Louisiana Republican Convention on Feb. 16 at the Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge.

The Louisiana delegates to the Republican National Convention will consist of three delegates and three alternates from each congressional district and 23 delegates and 23 alternates to be elected at large at the state convention.
